These are signage designs for the newly opened hotel in Nihombashi Suitengumae. They were designed to bring a little joy to the guests by adopting ‘shapes’ that recall traditional Japanese designs such as sword handguards and family crests. For guestroom signages, plates are made into different ‘shapes’ for each guestroom, providing a sense of variety in corridors that tends to become rather monotonous. In addition, designs adopting these ‘shapes’ were also developed for toiletries and glass collision prevention stickers to become a visual identity of the hotel.
