At Nagoya University, we were responsible for the visual identity (VI) and signage design of the co-creation hub ComoNe (Common Nexus). The symbol mark takes inspiration from the ecosystem of soil, expressing a “gathering of knowledge.” While it maintains an overall unity, its structure allows meaning to emerge even when individual elements are magnified, representing the diversity of individuals within the whole.

At the underground entrance, a suspended spherical sign was installed, three-dimensionally expanding the symbol mark. Depending on the viewing angle and light, the composition and appearance of the elements shift, offering an experiential expression of ComoNe as a constantly evolving organism of activity. Elements cut out from this sphere were further developed into space name signage within the facility, such as “ROOTS” and “STEAM,” evoking associations with the soil’s ecosystem. In this way, the philosophy embedded in the symbol mark is extended throughout the spatial environment.

名古屋大学構内に開設した共創拠点 ComoNe

（Common Nexus）のVIとサイン計画を担当した。シンボルマークは、ComoNeで行われる活動を土壌の生態系に見立て、「知の集合」を表現している。全体としてのまとまりを持ちながらも、部分を拡大すると、それぞれに異なる世界が立ち現れる構造となっている。

地下エントランスには、このシンボルマークを立体的に展開した球体の天吊サインを設置。見る角度や光によってエレメントの構成や見え方が変化し、ComoNeが変化し続ける活動体であることを、体験的に表現している。この球体から切り出されたエレメントは館内のスペース名表示へと展開され、「ROOTS」や「STEAM」など、土壌の生態系を想起させる名称を付与した。シンボルマークに込められた思想を、空間全体に展開している。
