The signage design for the cafeteria in Momoyama Gakuin Junior and Senior High School (St. Andrew’s School) to set up joyful mealtime for students. Choosing what to eat at a cafeteria may not be easy. A solution to this problem is the lines laid out on the floor like “amidakuji (ladder lottery).” They visually connect to the pictograms on the wall to help students choose from the menu. The lines also help them wait in a queue during busy hours. We hope our design will make their daily act of choosing meals into a new experience.
